How is the Mental maths speed test scored?
Each set reports accuracy and correct per minute. Scores compare you with your own earlier sets, never with other people.
Where does the Mental maths speed test come from?
Groen and Parkman timed simple sums instead of only marking them right or wrong. Response times rose with the size of the smaller number, which told them people were counting up from the larger one rather than recalling the answer. Speed on easy arithmetic has been treated as a measure in its own right ever since.
